I took this photo in New York last weekend.
I was in a rush. Just another quick shot. I barely looked.
But later, when I opened the file, something felt different.
Something felt… wrong.
One person lies curled on the ground.
One walks by, eyes hidden behind glasses.
Another buys lunch, glancing sideways.
And me: I took the photo, and moved on.
Why didn’t I see it then?
Why does it pull at me now?
Is it the silence?
The way we pass so close to each other yet remain so far?
Are we all just… distracted? Focused on what’s next?
Too busy to notice what matters?
This photo makes me uncomfortable.
I’m not here to judge. I don’t have answers.
But I keep looking at this photo, trying to understand what it’s really showing me.
About others. About myself.
Where is this discomfort coming from?
Is it about them, or is it about me?
Help me understand.
Something felt wrong
